OUR LEADERS

Ricky Hernandez

District Youth Director

My name is Ricky Hernandez and I get to be your District Youth Director.  I am blessed to be the husband of my gorgeous wife, Jessica and the proud father to Josiah, Rebekah and Judah!  Together, my wife and I, are the founding pastors of Iglesia La Viña.

If there’s one thing I could share with you it’s this…every God-given dream requires a team.  Matter of fact, I’m willing to say that if you’re doing it alone, you’re doing it wrong.  So let us partner with you as together we work to see this generation transformed by the power of the Holy Spirit!

Tony Reyes

Assistant District Youth Director

Greetings everyone, My name is Antonio Reyes, but everyone knows me as Tony. I have the privilege of serving our district as the assistant district youth director and also God has allowed me to serve as the pastor of Iglesia Cristo Viene in Russellville Arkansas for the last five years. One of the things that God has allowed me to learn and experience in the short time I have been in ministry is being able to see how God uses those who are willing to simply say, YES! My motivation for you is simple… and its that you take the words of Isaiah, as a motto for your life, and say YES!, and tell God “Here I am! Send me!.”

Rolando Ordaz

Youth Secretary/Treasurer

My name is Rolando Ordaz, Jr. and I am happy to serve as your Youth Secretary/Treasurer.  I have been married to my beautiful wife, Lisa for 11 years.  We have two handsome boys, Levi and Noah and we reside in Lufkin, Tx.  We currently serve as youth pastors at Iglesia La Viña.

I’m proud to be a part of a District that invests in the Next Gen.  And I want to encourage you to remain faithful wherever God has planted you.  I have learned that working with Next Gen means you don’t always see results immediately.  It takes times for the seed to flourish, but God is always faithful!

Eli & Ashley Espinoza

Fine Arts Coordinators

We are Eli and Ashley Espinoza and we get the privilege of serving as Fine Arts Coordinators. We have a household of 6. This includes 2 sons-Levi and Ezra Jadon and our two beautiful college-student nieces Rosio and Kiara.

One thing we have learned in our many years of ministry is that Sabbath is not optional. All work and ministry without time to recharge leads to burnout, so so our advice is always intentionally and regularly plan rest, family time, and some fun in your schedule to be refreshed. It’s Biblical!

SCHD NExt Gen Ministry

About us!

Our vision is to see the youth and young adults of our district have a life changing encounter with Jesus and be filled with the presence of the Holy Spirit!  And our strategy is simple…we strive to partner with you, whether you are a Senior Pastor or Youth Pastor, and help equip you to more effectively reach your youth and young adults.  Because we are convinced that this generation of young people are a vital part of what God is doing in His church today.  So please don’t hesitate to reach out and let us know how we can better serve you.

And if you haven’t heard, we’re beyond excited to announce the first ever united youth convention this year!  We are joining our sister districts that once made up the Gulf Latin American District for a historic youth convention!   This will happen November 25-27 at the Hilton Anatlone in Dallas, Tx.  Yes, you read that right…we’re moving away from Thanksgiving Day!  This year’s youth convention will happen Monday – Wednesday right before Thanksgiving!
